Funko announced they will be releasing Mad Max: Fury Road 6-Inch figures as part of their "Legacy" line.
Those will be the first non-cartoonish official Mad Max: Fury Road figures, which is good.
However, they will be made by Funko, which raises some concerns about the quality. Their previous figures from the "Legacy" line have been notorious for breaking upon posing them.
And the CEO of Funko doesn't seem to be putting much focus on the "Legacy" line (as he does with vinyl figures), so there are questions whether the quality of Mad Max "Legacy" line will be improved.

This is great news! I wonder why Miller changed his mind with respect to licensing and if Funko will forever be the only one to make official merchandise. Hoping this will allow other companies to make statutes and vehicles.

It's very possible that he had nothing to do with it. Just like the N2 toys that he didn't know about. The truth is - WB has its share of licensing and does whatever it wants with Mad Max and we can't even rule out that licensing Fury Road to Funko is a response to Miller vs WB lawsuit.

Damn i hate those stupid bloated headed figures with dead eyes. i'd prefer normal, not stupid looking funkos. how long until we get a funko pop movie? I'd be surprised if they weren't already planning it.

Pretty cool.
But what I'd REALLY want is for somebody to come out with some fine diecast Razor Cola or Nux Car models.
Like those AutoArt interceptors.
...except for less the 500 bucks...
I mostly like the cars from fury road.
I wasn't crazy about the new half a wimp mad max.
