Scot injector hat/scoup dimensions
I am looking for dimensions for a Scot Slot/Super Slot injector Hat. Need: overall length, width at front, width at back, hight at front, hight at back. Also would like to have a measurement at front of casting i.e. measured from top to bottom at front center point of hat. If anyone has these dimensions I would greatly appreciate it if you could forward them to me. Also, if you have a Scot unit could you take the measurements and send them? Thanks!. Studebaker Bill. P.S: Please forward this message to anyone you think may have the info.

Hey Studebaker Bill,
Love the name. Happen to have a 55 Commander here and building a Desert Explorer from parts of the prototype from the Proving Grounds graveyard (Guess that conversation is better suited to the SDC forum).
Cant help wondering what the dimensions are for. Do you need a Scott unit? I know there is an authorized reproduction available from www.madmaxcars.com if you need one for a build. If you don't actually need one, you have me even more curious what the dimensions are for.

i've tried a similar question:
http://madmaxmovies.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=10414
met with zero results.
then i found this:

i think as far as 3d modeling is concerned this isnt the forum you'll get any help with. especially if it takes getting someone out in their garage with a tape measure and 15 minutes of their time. it's bizarre, given most people that are gearheads have no qualms boring people to death about their cars - and given that i'm in a few mustang groups on facebook you have to beg them to shut up and stop making up hashtags.

Try Doug McQillin at Doug @ madmaxcar.com . He has a ton of photos and if I recall, measurements.

Is it really bizarre? Just the reproduction hat itself has a cost of circular $1500- and you were thanking people "in advance" for all their measurements and time!
Anyway.... these pictures should produce a closer product.... Would love to see the life sized finished result in plastic.

yeah, actually it's quite bizarre. im not exaggerating having joined a ton of sn95 mustang groups and you practically have to beg people not to share pictures of their mustang. but there's absolutely nothing with a tape measure (until your photos just now) on any part of the interceptor. comparatively, there's a shitload of photos with a tape measure on the proton pack and the ecto 1 from ghostbusters. here we have people that have actually sat in the interceptor in the dezer collection and there are STILL no clear photos of the voodoo head on the dashboard.Nuts wrote:Is it really bizarre? my link was created 3 years ago. 3 years ago, i was studying 3d drafting and design in college. buying a replica injector hat for 1500 dollars, defeats the purpose of drafting a 3d model of the system. i was ahead of the class so far that i was practically teaching myself - so i wanted something that was a challenge for me to design and that i could redesign to work on my car. 3d model files that i would have been more than happy to share with the community.
what is so wrong about thanking people in advance for their help?

Here's an insight to the doll's head. Photos tell the story, or at the very least make up additional clear pics.
