Dinki-Di?

How many other Australians out there cringe every time you hear Chumbucket and others in the game pronounce it as "Dinki-Dee" instead of the proper Australian way of saying it "Dinki-Die"? It makes me feel like Daffy Duck getting pissed off at Bugs Bunny hitting that wrong note when he is playing that exploding xylophone. "THAT'S WRONG YA DUMB BUNNY. TRY IT AGAIN!"

well not really. the game devs have said that since this isn't set in any specific region of the world ment that some people would speak Australian,some would speak english and some would speak mixtures of accents and langauages because people would slowly forget some of how they speak and would pick things up from the people of the world who passed through. I mean look at max in fury road as described by miller. he's lost his voice and tends to speak monosalabic through out the movie leaving people to assume at times that Max is actually feral kid who takes on the name max in the end cause fan theories blah blah blah.

in Chumbuckets case he seems to speak american english and the label of the dog food is Dinki-di so that's how he'll pronounce. if it was an all aussie cast then maybe I would be more bothered by it. but it wouldn't make sense for chum,who is a little dim witted to start with but good with engines, to say it a way that he's not born into. plus he doesn't seem to have a lot of aussie companions with which to converse with whom might correct him. so no it doesn't bother me because it wouldn't make sense for him to know the pronunciations natively. all he has is the label to go by and seems to think that this is the word for dog cause the label has a dog on it.
