After the 9 viewings you've already had you are guaranteed to be awaited even so.. ;)

Only watched in once in the 3d and it wasn't for me really. Much prefered the normal screening and am stoked that i'll be catchin it tomorrow night after work in that format again. Can't wait to see it on one of the giant screen again one last time. The smaller screens just aren't the same..This time tomorrow the screening will just be finishing actually. I wonder if i'll be the only one at that session?

It's funny, it actually for more crowded each time down here.
1st to 3rd viewings there were around 6 people in the theater - even though it was like 10.00 on a weekday, but by the 9th the place was packed.
I guess word had gotten around.

Not one viewing i've been at has the cinema been over half full. Didn't matter if it was the big screen or small, 3d or 2.. Not even the Premiere night the day before release had a big crowd. I was expecting it to be absolutely packed so it was a shock to see maybe 50 people in the cinema. That was a smaller crowd than the next viewing i had on the following Saturday and that was the Premiere.. I booked my ticket for tomorrow and so far no one else has for that last session on the big screen from looking at things.. I'm expecting to be able to stretch out in almost any seat i choose. Hope i'm wrong though. :?

You know thinking about it i do wonder if the reason the Premiere had a shit attendance had anything to do with Village Roadshow? I mean i got my email with my two tickets only 24hrs before the screenings. Just like that outa the blue, no warning but here ya go. I'm sure if this was the case for everyone not all were going to be able to attend with only 24hrs notice. Hmm..

The first time I saw it, the people in line in front of me were told it would be best if they came back to the 10pm showing as the 8:00 was pretty nearly sold out. I was surprised, as it was nowhere near opening weekend. I had low expectations, since the trailer led me to believe it would be a film for teenagers and car enthusiasts, but I was lured in by the astonishing critic reviews. It's kind of funny that I remember the exact moment Fury Road went from being a vague curiosity to a Top Ten for me - it was the tornado scene when the music swells. EPIC. Had chills. Haven't had that kind of reaction since, oh, I dunno, Star Wars? It's been awhile. I've made excuses to see it over and over, and every time I do I say, "Okay, that was REALLY the last time I'm seeing it in theatre." LOL....Then I end up creeping back after work and on weekends like some miserable junkie. Periodically I check the Fandango app "just to see" and get a little sad every time I see fewer screenings in my area.....! I hope the DVD comes out sooner rather than later so I can still get my fix. :)

Hehe, don't let yourself become addicted to Mad Max FR, it'll take hold of you and you'll resent it's absence..

It really is a movie that does warrant multiple viewings if that helps. Glad you've enjoyed that world GM created for all of us. :)

Just got back from my fifth and last viewing most likely in a cinema. Wow this is one movie that really must be seen on a giant screen, it's such a visual sight to behold. Only 19 people including myself at that session so chose a back row seat and took a couple of screen shots with me phone of my expected last viewing.

Hope we do get that follow up movie although i don't know if they'll be able to top this one really. If we don't and this becomes the end of the man they call Max then it was a pretty damn good a ride to go out on as most of us already know. :D

PhilC, your photos make me wanna see it again immediately.

On Friday my local cinema is saying farewell to MMFR  but they're doing it with style:
the last showing is on the biggest screen they have !!

Already bought a ticket for this screening (funny side note: the girl who sold the ticket to me wished me "A GOOD RIDE..!") :P

She's seen it too.

That's great news it's on a big screen for it's finale and that you got a ticket. After the last two viewings on smaller screens it was great to be able to catch it on a larger screen again last night. The bigger the betta for a movie such as this. I know you'll enjoy it. :D
