Question about the Springee Beak dude on NUX dash

So my oldest Daughter wants me to make her one for her Jeep Dash. Any thoughts on the parts that went into it?the bottom of the beak looks like motorcycle handle bar break calipers.
Anything you guys can Help with I'd appreciate

I was going to try and make a gif, but some good soul already has and did a better job than I could. It's not bad as far as a reference goes. It comes from here, and you can see a few more up-close stills of it there, as well as a discussion on what it's made of.
There's also this artist's version, which looks very similar to the real thing. Give those links a go, they'll probably do better than anything I could try to pick out just from pictures.
