That was my main question, are you sure about that? Is it possible to will intellectual property (apologies if that's the wrong term but you get the idea) into such a black hole? Or does your IP have to go to some person, organization, be relinquished to public domain, into a trust, etc., does it have to go "somewhere"?
EDIT: I guess this might be a pointless discussion, as there is probably zero chance Miller would actually do this. Also, it's not really a discussion for this thread or even this forum. Unless someone has a simple yes/no answer, I won't continue. Anyway

Short answer, yes.
Not totally pointless, look at it this way, Of all the thousands of questions I`ve seen Mr Miller answer recently, no one has asked the question "Any plans or thoughts on killing off Max to bring the journey to an end? and a natural follow up for ME, emphasising me, "As the rights owner, how close do you hold the creation of Max and would you be happy if someone else took on the challenge down the track?" I would pay $50 hard cash right now to see, hear, watch the answer to those questions
The legal side of the whole thing is a bit extreme but relevant as Miller is in some very rarefied air, He is the creator and owner of the Company/Corporation that owns the rights of a very successful film franchise. Not even The Beatles were ever able to own the rights to their own creations. The only other comparison of significance is the other George. One sold his much like one would move on a $4 Billion house.
As far as Public Domain, it`s all here, kinda.

Even after the passing of George Miller, a possible 120 years must pass before the rights to Mad Max can even be considered to placed in the public domain. Even then, it would be risky to use anything. More interesting then talking about ghost pursuit specials and feral kids in my book.
