Some questions about Joe and his Cult

1- Immortan Joe was 60 years old or so.
He was sick for radiation. His body was full of tumors.
Let's assume for a moment Furiosa never betrayed him and Max spent his remaining months of life as blood-bag for Nux.
Thus, "Fury Road" doesn't occur.
And let's assume Immortan Joe dies for cancer within one year.
We already watched the Citadel people ripping his body apart. But that happened because he had been killed by Furiosa, he wasn't "immortal" at all and everyone knew it (finally).
But just in case "Fury Road" doesn't occur...
What's next? Who would command the War Boys? Would the V8 Cult go on?
In few words: Was Furiosa's battle meaningful or not?

2- Do you think there were Half-Life people even among the Buzzards, the Rock Riders and all the other clans? No blood-bags for them?

3- Why doesn't Joe pick Full Life people like Max among the Citadel crowd? Why does he need Half-Life youngsters so much to create his army?

4- Do you think Rictus Erectus was some sort of "mutant"? He ripped apart that engine...

I think Joe picks the half lifes for warboys because they won't care to die because they're going to die young anyway. Max says himself he's a man reduced to one thing, to survive. I imagine the other full lifes want to survive too. Half life war boys do not care about surviving and will do anything Joe says to go to Valhalla. Just my opinion.

I believed that the movie left the ending very open ended so there's no real forecasting as to what happened. The film just didn't give enough info.

1. Furiosa's battle is meaningful. Immortem's cult depends on Immortem and his lineage- with him being mortal then the cult loses its meaning and the religion is over. Will Furiosa be able to lead them or will the half-lives leave or run amok, plunder the citadel and move into their own factions with their own groupies/leaders? That's an unknown.

2. The buzzards were explained as being persons with skin problems like lepers (that's why they were covered from head to toe). There were probably half-lives with them too.

3. Half-lives make sense because they are the desperate and the orphaned- health problems (and thus reliant on Joe's healthcare, LOL).

4. A 7 foot tall man is a bit of a genetic anomaly.

Hey good point, Joe's empire did have free healthcare . Well, for some people. But you could argue the masses below were not "citizens" so they don't qualify for it.

NOW that I think about it, after Immortan Joe's death for natural causes (given the fact FR never happened), Corpus Colossus and Rictus Erectus would have "combined" into one unit and thus become the "Master Blaster" of this Mad Max universe, ruling upon the Citadel!

No The Wretched do that because their oppressor and tyrant has been overthrown, not because he wasn't "Immortal". In all likelihood they probably didn't buy in to him being Immortal anyway.

Immortan's son would that Splendid was pregnant with and was a pure full life male. Immortan would likely raise him until he died and then Rictus, Corpus and his Prime Imperators could keep up Joe's façade without him being seen until Immortan's heir is of full age and can take over. Perhaps even donning Immortan's garb taking up Joe's mantle and truly becoming "Immortal".

3- Why doesn't Joe pick Full Life people like Max among the Citadel crowd? Why does he need Half-Life youngsters so much to create his army?

Well it obviously helps with his zealous. Here are these young boys who only live to their mid 20s with nothing to live for...well about if I tell you that if you serve me you'll not only have a purpose but you'll also die not on your sickbed but in glorious fashion to the point you'll enter the real of Valhalla where all heroes go and gather!

I mean he's like a father to them and they call him "Daddy" too.

How can anyone be sure that Joe's unborn baby would have been a 'full life' or that he was 100% fine. I'm sure when Rictus was born he looked 100% fine before it became apparent that he was of very low intelligence.
