Classic lines
There were a lot of great lines in the movie that I have seen people repeat on social media ( these are from memory please amend if you had better ears than me and add some more )
Nux: " I live , I die , I live again " - " If I'm gonna die , I gonna die historic on the Fury Road " - " Oh what a day , what a lovely day " - " Witness me "
Immortan Joe: " Don't get addicted to water , you will resent it's absence " - " Mediocre "

That one was weird and got me thinking like maybe water addiction is an actual thing in that society, or maybe it's something Joe uses to keep people under control, or who knows.Artemis Flow wrote:Immortan Joe: " Don't get addicted to water , you will resent it's absence "
This one had me wondering where the "Fury Road" came from, were there any other references to it?Artemis Flow wrote:" If I'm gonna die , I gonna die historic on the Fury Road "
Sorry if my discussion is OT since maybe you just wanted lines

Re: Classic lines
I think the Fury Road is the path to glory by dieing in the service of Joe to go straight to Valhalla. Not actually the name of the road to gastown.
Although I could be totally wrong since most things in this world do have very literal names.

Oh I agree it's the spiritual thing, I just can't recall any other references, just that line from Nux. It's odd because other stuff has multiple references, the steering wheels, Valhalla, the V8 finger thing, and then this one line that contains the title of the movie stands alone. Then again there's a lot dialogue and other things I missed in the movie even seeing it twice, so someone will probably post here with more "Fury Road" references in the movie.Knightrider wrote:I think the Fury Road is the path to glory by dieing in the service of Joe to go straight to Valhalla. Re: Classic lines
It's probably not a 'classic' line by any means but it really stood out for me for two reasons:Everyone in the Old World had a show
1. Because of how exaggerated that idea was and comes off as ill-informed
2. Because of how unintentionally it rings true in today's society. Everyone can be on a show, from reality shows to their own shows on Youtube.
As for the meaning of "Fury Road", I started a topic especially for that discussion because I think it could get interesting, without hijacking this thread.

The Bullet Farmer rant very similar to Nightriders:
" I am the scales of justice , the reverend doctor death , sinner ! sinner ! sinner ! "
Rictus Erectus " I had a brother , a baby brother and he was perfect in every way "

And this is absolutely the best thing about this film, there's just so much detail going on the whole time. It took me two viewings to catch half of the background stuff going on, and even then people are posting tons of stuff on here that I still missed. Still, will try to fix that soon, going to see it again tonightTheWarriorMax wrote:Then again there's a lot dialogue and other things I missed in the movie even seeing it twice, so someone will probably post here with more "Fury Road" references in the movie.

For the record, my favourite FR lines / quotes are "Witness Me" & "Mediocre". I keep trying to blend them in to my day to day conversations, but no one is really getting it!

Immortan Joe to Nux "You will arrive at the gates of Valhalla, shiny and chrome!"
You will ride eternal, shiny and chrome!
