Not only that, but at the end we're left with the smart midget (with uneasy look on his face) and Furiosa as the new leader of the Citadel. In other words: Bartertown situation.

Hahaah brilliant !!!!!!!! 8-) 8-) 8-)

My impression is that even though it does not fit in chronologically with the original films, there are plenty of references to the originals to make the long time die-hard fans happy. We are given the privilege of pointing these out to the new viewers making us "them that have the knowin' " :ugeek:

Anyone mentioned that scene yet of that guy (name missed, but he was one of Joe's permanent guards) hissing at Furiosa, Toecutter style, just as she jumped on the Gigahorse?

I know it's been mentioned as well, but Slit and Nux's Roop and Charlie act made me laugh out loud.
The cow car reference is already mentioned on page 1 ;)

It is hard to keep track of what is already mentioned and what not.

That Nux/Slit - Roop/Charlie one is absolutely brilliant. :D That one I didn't recognize during the film :?
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

The interaction between Nux and Max before Max steals the War Rig reminded me a bit of the Gyro Captain & Max. Nux seems to also think they are are now some sort of "partners", but Max pretty quickly (and gruffly) clears up that confusion before taking off in the rig.

Plot point-wise, in RW, once Max had his car back and some juice he was ready to leave the others to fend for themselves. In FR he was ready to do the same.

Maybe another little nod: Furiousa's knife hidden in the gear shift, Max's knife hidden in the fly swatter (MMBT).

Who else saw the footage (perhaps even 1 or 2 frames) as Max has his sleep in the war rig and remembers the past, you see the bulging eyes footage of The Nightrider and The Toecutter from the fist Mad Max? I liked that a lot and wanted maybe one or two more of that. But that is quite a nice little insert included in the film. Who else saw it and got a rush of excitement.

Definitely a nod (I knew I was forgetting another one!). Max disarms a bunch of weapons from Furiosa, including the sawn off, the mauser - exactly the same as when Max hands over all his weapons to the Collector. Then Max still has the knife hidden in the fly swatter / Furiosa still has the knife hidden in the gear stick.
