Did anyone else notice ...
I've only seen the film once ... so far ... and saw it in IMAX 3D. This query may apply to that version.
Like everyone who's watched it I was totally engrossed but pulled out of the moment by a possible flub.
There is a scene on the War Rig where Max volunteers to go to the back of the rig and is seen hauling himself along the chassis upside down.
Was it just me or is the safety rig of mountaineering rope and sailing pulleys clearly visible? It seems unlikely that the rigging wasn't removed digitally.
I'll be seeing it again this coming week in 2D and keeping an eye out for that shot.

Hmm hard to remember honestly since it's been a week and a half since I saw it but I never noticed it at the time.
There is a rigging as part of the film that runs under the chassis and tanker thats used a couple of times by Furiosa and Nux for repairs, was it that?

That was part of the rig. When they show Furiosa working on the rig while it's moving, she's on some sort of wire harness system.

Could well be.
Though what ... I think ... I saw was a black sail/rigging pulley on black mountaineering rope. Not weathered as you'd expect of a piece of prop rigging.

The rigging was quite clear when Furiosa went down to work on the rig. It looked intended to be there, and makes reasonable sense - the whole thing is designed to be accessible and repairable on the go, if you had to stop the war rig to fix it every time something was needed you could be in trouble! I actually wondered about the whole safety aspect of climbing down there for repairs while the thing was moving until I saw she was hooked up.

Happy to be wrong.
That makes perfect sense ... have to say I didn't notice Furiosa being rigged but there was a lot going on

Speaking of did anybody else notice, did anyone notice Immortan Joe's mask? Throughout the film, we see it as closed clenched teeth. However, when we see him holding Splendid's body, his mask is an open screaming mouth. It wasn't until my third screening tonight that I caught it.

Yeah I mentioned that here from one of the last trailers:Interdictor wrote:Speaking of did anybody else notice, did anyone notice Immortan Joe's mask? It surprised me, it's kind of odd it can open like that, like it's glued to his lips or something

Another thing that confused me a bit, when the Gas Town tanker is on fire and the War Rig is next to it, there seems to be a cable going on an angle from a low point or beneath the tanker up to nowhere, or maybe to the War Rig, the cable itself is on fire and it's tight not slack. I couldn't figure out what that is supposed to be.

It looked like it was streams of fuel on fire like a flame thrower squirting out of the ruptured tank , just seen the movie a second timeTheWarriorMax wrote:Yeah I mentioned that here from one of the last trailers:Interdictor wrote:Speaking of did anybody else notice, did anyone notice Immortan Joe's mask? I thought at one point the truck was missing when they were firing the harpoons into the back of it, it showed a view from behind the cars and the truck wasn't there. or so I thought.
