Loved his thoughts on how the wasteland is expanded beyond what we know and his comments about having the energy to make the other 2 movies?!

You're right again my friend, FURY ROAD will open Cannes May 14th!DGSimo wrote:I can't find any real source but apparently Fury Road is 1 of 2 finalists that will be chosen to open the Cannes Film Festival in May.
Sadly, the movie won't open Cannes, like Indy 4 did, but will premiere out of competition. It's great thoughhenry2 wrote:You're right again my friend, FURY ROAD will open Cannes May 14th!DGSimo wrote:I can't find any real source but apparently Fury Road is 1 of 2 finalists that will be chosen to open the Cannes Film Festival in May.

1983 I remember watching Road Warrior in the theater's with few of my buddies, we rode our Jap bikes to the theater, on the ride home we were pretending to run each other off the road and trying to kick each other riding, Back then I NEVER knew of Mad Max, It wasn't until probably the late '90's I got internet and heard and saw It.DGSimo wrote:Likewise for Mad Max 2. Aside from the opening narration, Max and the Interceptor there's little else that references and connects it to the first film. There's nods for the fans that did the first film but it's self contained and visually looks so different. It's why for a lot of people they didn't even know there was a first film, although being titled The Road Warrior didn't help.
