Yes, Max is a "blood bag" connected to Nux, I think. That support on the front of the car is called a blood-bag support in the design sketches.

Is it possible... that by putting someone on the blood bag support and driving like that would increase their adrenaline? thereby giving Nux an extra edge??

I cant see what possible reason they need blood for? other then the fact they could be dying but even a transfusion doesnt do anything? clean blood maybe? some sort of religious cult thing??

I don't think so. Looks like rock formations similar to Utah and you see the same kind of vistas in the Mad Max game.


Also I think the Citadel is supposed to be mostly underground.

The explosion is the Citadels throwing one of there exploding spears at the rear driver side tire. You have to pause just at the right moment to see the spear just before it hits Max's car.

You are most likely right but looking at them they are very squarish shapes which made me think they might of been man made, could just be early versions of the cgi rock formations.
