I don't find this confusing nor do i think it's stupid.leadcounsel wrote: * Same actor - I mean, what's the point? Are there no other actors. Clearly this would cause confusion (yes, I know this has been done now in all 4 movies, and it's stupid.)
Australia has alot of bush planes. So the odds of there being a few pilots left in an apocalyptic world is very high.leadcounsel wrote: * VERY UNIQUE skill set. Are you a pilot? I'm not. How many pilots do you know personally? How many pilots likely survived 10 years after the war, with mortality rates at about 95% of the population? How common is the skill of being a pilot 10 years after the war. Probably extremely rare. Yet Max encounters probably the only 2 pilots with working aircraft within probably a 2000 mile radius?!?! What are the odds, like 1 in a Billion? It's further complicated by the fact they are THE SAME ACTOR?!
When Jedidiah jumps out of the plane on Max's vehicle, he looks behind him and Max isn't that far away. Before they robbed Max they could have been watching him from a distance with binoculars. Plenty of chances to see Max face before he came to Bartertown.leadcounsel wrote: * Jedidiah clearly recognizes Max when Max comes to Bartertown. Unlikely in the fly-by attack from behind could he have seen enough to identify him.
The cave had a few airplane parts lying around such as a propeller, so Max could've connected the dots and assumed the guy had a plane. Also the kid yells at Jedidah 'Get in the plane, get in the plane'. Max could have heard that when he was running through the cave.leadcounsel wrote:
* Max clearly recognizes Jedidiah in the cave, and stops and they exchange a LONG stare of recognition and Max says something like "You know how to fly," or "You have a plane" or something like that. He had NO reason to know that following the story line of MM3.
He cheers because he's spectating a fight. Just look at the Thunderdome, everyone is cheering and yelling and so on.leadcounsel wrote: * Jedidiah does show happy recognition of Max several times in Bartertown. IF he was a different character, and not the Gyro captain, he would have either not recognized him, or been indifferent or even concerned that his victim is now in Bartertown. Yet, he smiles when he sees Max, and cheers for him in Thunderdome. Makes no sense whatsoever.
And if Jedidiah really was the gyro pilot, why didn't he help Max when he was in trouble? When Max was sent into the desert, Jedidiah could've gone after him like he did in Road Warrior after the bob crash if he was infact the gyro pilot. For me it's very clear that they're 2 different characters played by the same actor.
