I'd still like to know what the hell a 'wordburger' is.

wordburghers refer to free citizens who keep a written language or history from dying out.

Just a heads up guys but new images are debuting today or tonight courtesy of Entertainment Weekly for their comic con issue.

Kind of surprised they haven't surfaced yet but EW debuted the new Avengers 2 stills instead. When the digital edition goes live I'll post them here.
Interesting enough the official Facebook page for Mad Max and WB Pictures Twitter were active today with FURY ROAD posts proclaiming "A new world is coming...#MadMax" along with the still of the convoy still.

Re: First Official Look + Images for Mad Max: Fury Road!
Hey guys. I got here late.
I can't decide if I like or dislike the character and vehicle designs for this movie. The vehicles are alright but they shout cartoonish even by Mad Max standards. This is probably because of a higher budget so they can go crazier.
Character-wise, I dunno....it still looks somewhat MM, but it looks like they're going for more of a tribal-cannibal look this time.
I'm anticipating this movie but I'm very nervous that it's going to be more of a bland remake (like Robocop) than a real canon film. I hope Miller hasn't lost his edge yet.

So, it looks like the colors in the movie will be desaturated after all. Hopefully it works in the end, but some of the pics sorta give off a Book Of Eli vibe, which in my opinion is not necessarily a good thing.

It kind of reminds me of that. Also the bald...guy? Gal? Reminds me of a Johnny Depp character or The Crow with a shaved head. Not necessarily a good thing either.biolumen wrote:So, it looks like the colors in the movie will be desaturated after all. Also what they did to poor Hugh freaked me out.

Definitely not a fan of the desaturated look either. I don't know what is it with movie makers these days that they think bleak future should be colorless.
The Road Warrior editions are a prime example why color correcting wasn't necessary at all, it deprived the movie of that vibrant feel and toned everything down, made it boring to watch.
