It would be cool if you left the engine bay yellow, as though the car had originally been intended to be a regular Pursuit car, and then was upgraded to a BoB.

But, as MWFV8 said, you can make anything you like into a Mad Max "inspired" car. If I can attach a pic here is my old 75 Chevy Monte Carlo. And in my signature is my 2007 Dodge Charger

if it's a Volkswagen, why is the engine in the front at all? And Volkswagen engines were air cooled, so no radiator.
