Re: The Rover
Just 2 quick things. If you want realsim, never, ever, watch the old show CHiPs. That has what my mom calls "flying cars". This is where there is a wreck, and cars go flying, when in real life, they wouldn't. Even as an under 10 kid, I could tell that was so fake. I will admit that it det...

Re: My biggest problem with the movie
This world doesn't look or feel, to me, like the MM world I personally prefer. Which world do you prefer? The Road Warrior version it would seem, because each film in the original series the world was very different from film to film. I don't think its reasonable to expect George Miller to do the e...

Re: Total Film - May 2015
I don't understand why some of you are so precious over Fury Road. Religiously defending the Cgi is just as inane as passionately detesting it. The viewer is either going to be happy with what they see or they aren't, there's no getting around that. Until then we can only judge based on what we're ...

Re: Total Film - May 2015
Ambient enhancements, like adding dust, removing stunt safety equipment and adjusting color, is fine. The problem with using cgi is that once a director/producer goes down that path things start to get silly. They begin stretching the believability of the action, it's just too easy to go for 'a lit...

Re: Test audience screenings 7/30 & 12/8 (Spoilers)
This will make Hardy's career. What do you expect him to say. He's excited about it, but then again IIRC he wasn't an original MM fan. To him this is an awesome movie. Of course there are going to be cool things in it, but will it FIT with ... ya know... MAD MAX? Or is it just some unidentifiable gu...

Re: Total Film - May 2015
One of my main concern is that people will think the stunts are CGI. Me myself, i know it's not CGI but having people think it's CGI hurts a little bit to me. Not CGI? Everyone keeps repeating this nonsense. The whole fucking movie appears CGI. The massive tornados inside a sandstorm with people fl...

Re: My biggest problem with the movie
It's not MY baby, but my issues are the fact that they've taken an otherwise pretty damn great story and character, changed it all around to divorce himself from the previous films, confuse the hell out of the die-hard fans (and irritate this one), and throw in a bunch of stupid looking "Fast a...

Re: No Crossbows?
While I'm a big fan of guns, and guns in movies when done correctly, I don't care for the prevalence of guns in the MM world. Why? Solutions become quite simple when you introduce guns. Cars are EASILY defeated with guns. Guns shoot through them, guns put holes in engines (blocks, hoses, radiators, ...

Why don't you then Leadcouncil...it's obviously that simple. Make your film...get it distributed ...wow the world with your higher vision . It might even make "Folks with no discerning eye "like myself think perhaps your not just a wining self-entitled brat.......but a wining self-entitle...

Re: The Rover
The Rover cost $12 MILLION, or 24 times what MM would have cost in todays dollars. The world of filmmaking has changed a lot. It costs a fortune to make and market a feature now. The comparison is unfair. Clearly it's changed a lot, but that's part of the issue I have with modern films. TOO much re...
