Re: Mad Max: Fury Road MAIN TRAILER

The voice-overs in these new trailers are bloody awful. Doesn't sound like a guy out in the wasteland at all... Sounds like a writer trying too hard to shoehorn the movie's theme in. Yuk. I'm having a bad feeling about this stuff. The visuals of course, are terrific. Whoever is getting Tom Hardy to ...

Re: My biggest problem with the movie

I know what you mean about all these online experts now moaning about the cgi in Fury Road. What I've seen in the trailers looks really great and is used in a much more inventive way than most of the sci-fi stuff being made recently (Jupiter Ascending comes to mind). It's also of impeccable quality....

Re: My biggest problem with the movie

Getting too literal about this Mad Max timeline will drive you (and us) nuts. As has been mentioned above, Miller has been very clear that it's a new version of the 'Mad Max universe' and obviously has a lot of similarities to what has come before in the Mel Gibson trilogy. Most of the new audience ...

Re: Mad Max: Fury Road Theatrical Teaser Trailer #1

Given that very few people have seen the finished Fury Road movie, I find all this endless speculation - which has now become a semi-backlash, based on two trailers -- pretty silly. I thought the first trailer was brilliant, one of the best teasers I've ever seen in over 20 years of movie-going. The...

Re: Brendan McCarthy talks Fury Road, reveals comic book cov

Not sure why they featured storyboards from Highlander 2 in this McCarthy interview... Why not some Fury Road boards? All we keep seeing are the same images over and over again! The Peter Pound stuff pirated on ebay are the most voluminous, and there's the usual featured boards by artist Mark Sexton...

Re: First Impressions?

The backlash has started, and the movie hasn't been released yet! Most of the reviews from people who have been to the screeners has been pretty positive, with some mixed. Recent interviews with Miller and McCarthy suggest the movie is a 'reboot' of the franchise, updated in style from nearly 30 yea...

The budget's now at $250 million? Studio execs are bailing on George Miller's cut?

Who makes this stuff up?

Re: Brendan McCarthy talks Fury Road, reveals comic book cov

That's a great visual. I'd certainly buy a decent Mad Max comic series. I'd love to see Simon Bisley drawing it with someone like Garth Ennis writing. (Not that Brendan McCarthy wouldn't be good too.) Interesting what McCarthy says about the writing process. Not quite sure what he means by 'electrob...

Re: FURY ROAD COMIC CON TRAILER IS HERE!

The trailer is stunning. I've watched it half a dozen times now... It looks so beautiful, really well shot. The color is wonderful, I love that 'Mad Max' hard sunlight look. I'm happy to nwait for the movie to actually come out, buy a ticket and let Miller take me on a ride down the Fury Road... All...

Re: First Official Look + Images for Mad Max: Fury Road!

For Neil Marshall to claim that Fury Road is ripping off his movie is absurd. The original script for Mad Max 4 was written in 1997 by director George Miller and comic book writer Brendan McCarthy. It's taken Miller forever to get this made, about 15 years. It was originally the fourth installment i...
