Re: Concept Artwork from Peter Pound
I know McCarthy's work from about 30 years ago (Strange Days, Skin, etc) and he has returned to comics and produced some pretty psychedelic new work for Marvel, DC and 2000AD in the UK. Check out his Zaucer of Zilk comic. There was a big collection of his classic material released just before Chris...

Re: Concept Artwork from Peter Pound
Brendan McCarthy has writing credit on Fury Road and has probably been working with Miller from stage one. Check out his comic "Freakwave" (which inspired "Waterworld") and you'll understand the concept art along with McCarthy's surreal and outlandish style: http://scans-daily.dr...

Re: Reboot vs Pre/Sequel Discussion
Had to do a little research here, but I was certain that George Miller wrote it with Brendan McCarthy. McCarthy previously wrote a psychedelic post-apocalyptic comic called "Freakwave," which inspired the film "Waterworld." Check it out, it's really great stuff: http://scans-dail...

Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
Cross-referencing the pictures, I agree it appears to be the same vehicle. The first image looks like there's something in front of it, though, that's where I got confused.

Re: Possible pictures of actual Fury Road vehicles
If it is the ripsaw it's got a chassis mounted on top of it. Also it looks like it's stationary, as if mounted on blocks, but that could be armor or something.
This is a really nice hi-res image! Anyone else notice the bucket seats on the back of the speaker rig? And the trumpets on top?

Re: Fury Road Trailer release?
Hopefully soon, I'm getting antsy! I'm getting my first tattoo when the trailer is released! But keep in mind the 2nd Hunger Games has a release of Nov. 22nd and although the same audience might see both films I wouldn't be surprised to see a trailer catering to a younger audience . . . (fingers cro...

Re: Reboot vs Pre/Sequel Discussion
I'm certain I read this on some other page of this forum but my current opinion is this: The first Mad Max was told from the viewpoint of Max himself and gives the viewers a good idea of how he became what he is and why he tries to be the good guy in a lawless society. Both The Road Warrior and Thun...
