Re: 1/18th Custom Diecasts

I've gotten a little more done on this bad boy lately. The cowl hood is almost done, spoiler is complete, as are front and rear push bumpers, rollcage, and some other smaller stuff. Continued work will include a couple lights on the front bumper, a larger capacity fuel tank added under the hatch, si...

Re: What is your MM car?????

Nice. Where did you find the hood? It's a grand prix fiberglass SD hood, there are a fair number of used ones around that can be found through forums and such. I managed to buy mine used cheap from a local guy who was de-modding his grand prix to sell it. I'm apparently it's 7th or 8th owner. Perfo...

Re: What is your MM car?????

Since this thread is revived, here's my daily driven Pontiac Grand Prix GT, with some Mad Max inspired touches. Here it is in warmer weather all nice and clean http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg53/RamFett/gpdriveway1_zpsb71a343c.jpg This is a few days ago, dirty as hell in the snow. Also shows th...

Re: Red Dirt Road Warrior Paint

Your best bet is to learn to mix paint colors until you get a result you like. A combination of yellow, red, white and black should be all you need to get there. Do a bit of experimentation with small amounts and figure out what works. I usually start with an orange mixed from the yellow and red, th...

Re: 1/18th Custom Diecasts

Hey, Weelz. Sorry it took a bit, but I sent you a PM. I guess while I'm here I'll post what I've been working on lately. It's more of a freelance post apocalyptic model, but it'll look the part of a Mad Max style car when its done. Here goes: http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg53/RamFett/374161_38...

Re: 1 18 landau rep

Awesome job, dude! I really like that tail light panel, that's a very resourceful way of making it. With the primer on, it sort of pulls everything together and its looking like it'll be one heck of a nice finished product for starting from a Mustang. Keep up the good work!

Okay weelz, here's a shot of the progress. I still need to work on the interior and do some more weathering around the bottom and underside of the car, but this is the gist of what it'll look like. More pics when it's done.

Re: 1/18th Custom Diecasts

I just noticed your post tonight. Funny thing is, after basically taking the summer off from modelling, just this morning I started working again on that 55 Chevy I started last year! I just finished working the busiest week of my year (4 consecutive days of 14 hour shifts), so I thought it'd be rel...

Re: Building a wasteland vehicle..

I completely disagree with highfatilityroad, there's absolutely nothing wrong with your work and any true fan of the Mad Max films and the ideas surrounding them should be able to appreciate it. I personally am very impressed with your attention to detail, and the sheer amount of imagination and pla...
