Re: FURY ROAD's Oscar chances? 10 OSCAR NOMINATIONS!!
Fury Road was the biggest winner with six. Sad that George wasn't recognised in the best director category, would have been a perfect night if he had (didn't ever think it was in with a chance for best picture). That said if you had told me a year ago - when there was quite a lot of uncertainty here...

Re: Mad Max Sequel News from Quentin Kenihan
I agree, don't think we should read much into it...it was all a bit jokey. It does show that there's a lot more deleted scenes than just multiple camera angles and the three we've seen so far though. Odds on that we're going to see an official 'black and chrome' disc release at some point, wouldn't ...

Re: So what was the original ending Voice over?
A full length fan made version was available for a day on Vimeo at the end of September ( https://blackandchrome.wordpress.com ) but was take down by Warner Brothers within a few hours. Within that time it managed to garner several superb reviews. Missed it myself which was annoying and haven't seen...

Re: So what was the original ending Voice over?
I wonder when the Max Voice over was decided upon and for what reasons. The comics are voiced by the Historymen and it's clear from the original Fury Road 'word burgers' press release that this concept was being used in the film too. The voiceover annoys me less and less but totally agree that no vo...

Which I guess accounts for the Massive Attack 'Teardrop' embryo shot during Max's nightmare?

Re: The little details
The little detail I quite enjoyed, which is pretty obvious but that I didn't notice to the third or forth viewing, was how Max is responsible for Splendids death; he wounds her leg and this is why she slips.

Re: Max's visions
Agreed. Definitely not Furiosa, that particular imagery is explained in the comic. Mother and daughter die and 'so it was that Max Rockatansky, the road warrior, trapped in a never ending cycle of loss and revenge...unable to escape the mistakes of his own history'

Re: Madness of Mad Max Documentary is available now
So finally got to watch the Madness of Max on Wuaki TV (only £1.25 for a 48 hour rental). Great to watch but glad I didn't have to buy all the films again to get it. As a Mad Max obsessive for 33 years I was staggered to hear so many stories I was completely unaware of. Everything seems to have been...

Re: DVD / Blu-ray release
Got my UK version of the Interceptor Collectors box today. As expected it doesn't include the steelbook like other versions, which is really annoying given the cost (£90), instead it comes with a normal 3D disc in card '3D' slip. The car itself is surprisingly heavy and nicely detailed (looks hand p...

Re: Does anyone fear we won't get another Max movie??
Terminator is a popcorn film that people will go and see in droves because it has brand. It's a horribly outdated brand though and one that has more crap films than good ones, but a lot of people don't care it seems. Anyway, it sounds like I'll need to continue to Google 'mad max' on a daily basis (...
