Re: Goose's burnt face cut scene (all time shock award)
Ha. The solution to the mystery occurred to me. Miller being a physician himself, with all the stunts being real, he must have actually 'procured' a real burnt-up car accident victim for this shot (to god I hope the body was already dead) from his local hospital. If he had left it in the VHS, people...

Here are at least four other people who remember the quick shot of Goose's face:

Re: Goose's burnt face cut scene (all time shock award)
I feel like I'm in a therapy session here. Ok I jumped the gun on the wavering scene being recent, and digital. Should have thought about it. All interesting how the mind can conjure things, but no, I know what I saw. And you have to admit, there are all those other cut scenes that do exist. I'm sur...

Re: Goose's burnt face cut scene (all time shock award)
The 'wavering' scene is a digital effect. Now think about the fact there were no digital effects in 1979. I sure didn't fill this scene in my mind. You don't fill in something in your mind that then shocks you out of your pants. I tell ya it was shocking because they showed this face and it was ALIV...

Re: Goose's burnt face cut scene (all time shock award)
No I was not on acid. It was in the early 80's and I was 12 years old or thereabouts. Of course more impressionable, but I remember this as being sort of the 'climax' of the movie because you're so unprepared of getting to see this horribly sad face crying out for help that should be dead and can't ...

Goose's burnt face cut scene (all time shock award)
I know for a fact that in the middle of the movie, when Max uncovers the sheet hiding Goose's burnt body, they cut the scene showing Goose's face. You only see a wavering effect on Max's face. But I remember the scene. It is the most shocking horror I have ever seen. I remember being dazed for 10 mi...
